Update: Mikrotik Repair
Some of you might have seen this post from a year ago where I shared my experience fixing an old Mikrotik RB450G router.
And a year later it is still going strong! No issues handling firewall rules for some NAT’d internal networks and is even handling being a CAPsMAN for my hAP (Honestly a bit of a pointless thing, but was an interesting test anyways)
This router is still the main router+switch handling most of my network. I also have a separate WiFi network that is more public, so I have this router do some firewalling and NAT to isolate it from my main home network and limit its bandwidth usage with some Simple Queues. I also recently bought a hAP ax² and for fun I configured it to be managed by this ancient RB450G through CAPsMAN, and its working just fine too!
